Brown & Williams Psychotherapy

I am a seasoned New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License 092343) with a commitment to providing each client with a personalized therapeutic experience, I aim to align my approach with your unique goals and needs.

For over 16 years, I have engaged in individual and couples therapy, working with adults of all ages as well as adolescents. My diverse professional journey includes experiences in various settings, ranging from outpatient and residential care to forensic environments and adolescent services. This extensive background has equipped me to work effectively with clients facing a wide array of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, adjustment issues, adolescent issues, and the complexities surrounding domestic violence. I also have a particular interest in supporting college students and those within the forensic population.

I believe deeply in the power of empathy and collaboration within the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. A passion of mine is to provide mental health education and supervision to social work interns, cultivating the next generation of professionals and helping them refine their skills.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in a variety of evidence-based modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. While I incorporate elements from each of these methodologies as needed, my primary focus is on the psychodynamic approach, which emphasizes insight development and meaningful change. This broad array of expertise allows me to tailor my methods to best meet your individual needs, fostering a collaborative journey toward your mental wellness.

I look forward to partnering with you on this path to growth and healing.
