Rebecca Cheraquit, LMSW
Rebecca’s professional journey began in New York City, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the City University of New York at Brooklyn College. In 2000, she completed her Master of Science in Social Work at Columbia University, with a concentration in clinical practice. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with years of experience supporting individuals and families across diverse settings.
Rebecca’s therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, empathy, and collaboration. She draws from client-centered and strength-based perspectives to empower clients to recognize their resilience and build upon their inner resources. Her work focuses on promoting emotional wellness, developing healthy coping strategies, and fostering meaningful social and relational connections.
Throughout her career, Rebecca has supported individuals experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges. She creates a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore their emotions, understand their patterns, and begin to make lasting changes.
Rebecca believes that healing is both a personal and relational process—one that unfolds through self-discovery, self-compassion, and support. She is honored to walk alongside clients on their path toward greater self-awareness, balance, and emotional well-being.
